Laser Treatment in Proctology:

• Hemorrhoids - Laser energy is being delivered over the tissue followed by delivery of energy into pile mass. This procedure is performed mostly under local anesthesia and the patient can be discharged on the same day. No cut is required in complete treatment.
• Anal fissure - Lateral sphincterotomy is performed by giving an incision in the sphincter muscle via laser fiber. This helps release the tension of the fissure and allows the affected area to heal.
• Anal fistula - Closure of fistula track by delivering laser energy by radial fiber. Laser energy delivered via radial fiber help in tissue shrinkage which closes the track.
• Pilonidal sinus- removal of debris, inflammatory tissue, and hairs from the tract with minimal collateral tissue damage.

EVLT:

• Varicose vein treatment is done via laser for twisted, inflamed or wide veins situated under the skin.
• Radial fiber helps in swelling or inflammation because of the heat transferred from the laser
