Meril Hormonal Intrauterine System (HIUS) is a long-acting reversible contraceptive device designed to prevent pregnancy for up to 5 years.
It consists of a T-shaped frame with a drug reservoir containing 52 mg of the hormone levonorgestrel (LNG), which is released into the uterine cavity at a controlled rate of 20µg daily.
The proprietary applicator and safety lock ensure convenient, accurate, and safe insertion by healthcare professionals.
Indicated for contraception and management of menorrhagia/dysfunctional uterine bleeding/abnormal uterine bleeding.
Provides a high rate of contraceptive effectiveness, reduces menstrual blood loss, and is reversible with fertility returning upon removal.
Inserted intrauterine by healthcare providers for continuous contraception up to 5 years. Also indicated for treatment of menorrhagia and selected cases of abnormal uterine bleeding.
