Meril Filapron AB Synthetic Absorbable Monofilament Surgical Suture is a sterile, short-term absorbable suture made of coated Poliglecaprone 25, optionally blended with Triclosan for antimicrobial protection.
It consists of a synthetic monofilament, providing smooth passage through tissue and minimal tissue reaction.
Designed for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation where short-term wound support is required.
Preferred for scarless subcuticular closure due to its excellent handling and knot security.
Absorbs completely by hydrolysis within 90 to 120 days, retaining 60–80% of initial tensile strength for up to 7 days.
