Meril Filaprop Synthetic Non-Absorbable Monofilament Surgical Suture is composed of isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene, a synthetic linear polyolefin.
It is a monofilament, synthetic, non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture recommended for use in wounds requiring minimal tissue reaction.
Available in various gauge sizes (USP 10-0 to 2-0) and lengths, attached to stainless steel needles of different types.
Complies with the United States Pharmacopeia for “Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture†and the European Pharmacopeia for “Sterile Synthetic Non-Absorbable Monofilament Strand.â€
Polypropylene suture is blue in color for visibility during surgery and is biologically inert, resisting absorption and enzyme degradation.
The product is supplied as a sterile pack, with 12 sutures per box.
