Meril Mitsu Synthetic Absorbable Braided Surgical Suture (Coated Polyglactin 910) is a mid-term absorbable, braided, and coated synthetic suture composed of poly (glycolide-co-l-lactide) (90/10), known as Polyglactin 910.
The suture degrades by hydrolysis and is designed to assure predictable and reliable absorption, typically achieving complete mass absorption within 56 to 70 days.
Available in both undyed and dyed (D and C violet No. 2) forms, it is supplied in a wide range of sizes and lengths, supplied with standard stainless-steel needles of various types and sizes.
Complies with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and European Pharmacopeia (EP) standards for absorbable surgical sutures.
Coated to improve handling and reduce tissue drag, and exhibits non-pyrogenic properties.
General soft tissue approximation and/or ligation in both general surgery and specific ophthalmic procedures (cataract, retinal, corneal, squint eye, trabeculectomy surgeries).
