Ivabrad 7.5 Tablet is used for the treatment of angina (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart) and chronic (long-term) heart failure in adults whose heart rate is above specified limits and who either cannot tolerate certain other heart medicines or require additional therapy.[1][2]
Contains Ivabradine as the active ingredient, a hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated channel blocker that works by slowing the heart rate and reducing the heart's oxygen demand, thereby controlling or reducing the risk of angina attacks and heart failure events.[1][2][3]
Should be taken with food, at the same time each day. Dosage and duration are strictly as per doctor's prescription.[2][3]
Most commonly used as a long-term therapy; abrupt discontinuation without consulting a doctor is not advised.[2]
