Gluconorm VG 1 Tablet is a prescription oral antidiabetic medication indicated for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and other medications are insufficient to control blood sugar levels.[1][2][3][4][5]
It contains a combination of Glimepiride (1 mg), Metformin (500 mg), and Voglibose (0.2 mg).[3][4]
Each component works synergistically: Glimepiride increases insulin release, Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production and intestinal absorption, and Voglibose slows carbohydrate absorption.[2][3][5]
The tablet must be swallowed whole with water and taken at the same time each day as prescribed by your doctor.[2][3]
Not recommended for patients with hypersensitivity to its components, severe kidney or liver impairment, acute conditions like dehydration or severe infection, and certain cardiac/respiratory conditions.[1][4]
