Nizonide 500 Tablet is an antiparasitic medication primarily used in the treatment of diarrhea caused by certain intestinal parasitic infections (such as Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia).
It contains Nitazoxanide, a thiazolide class broad-spectrum antiprotozoal and anthelmintic agent.
Acts by inhibiting energy metabolism and growth in protozoa, helminths, anaerobic bacteria, and some viruses.
Tablets are round, yellow, film-coated, each containing 500 mg of Nitazoxanide as the active ingredient along with maize starch, sodium starch glycolate, hypromellose, talc, magnesium stearate, and coloring agents.
