Rivaban 20mg Tablet is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) containing rivaroxaban, used to prevent and treat blood clots.
It is primarily prescribed for the prevention of stroke, systemic embolism, and major cardiovascular events, especially in patients with atrial fibrillation (irregular heart rhythm).
This medication is commonly used to treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and reduce the risk of recurrence of these conditions.
It also prevents clots after orthopedic surgeries such as hip or knee replacement.
Works by inhibiting blood clotting factor Xa.
Should be taken at the same time each day, preferably with food.
Regular monitoring for bleeding or unusual bruising is recommended during treatment.
It is a prescription-only drug and should not be stopped abruptly.
