LUPITROS TZ Eye Drops combine Timolol (a beta-blocker) and Travoprost (a prostaglandin analogue) to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in adults with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
Primarily indicated for patients who are not sufficiently responsive to other topical beta-blockers or prostaglandin analogues.
The medication works by reducing the production of aqueous humour and increasing its outflow, helping to lower eye pressure and prevent potential vision loss.
Ocular hypertension is defined as pressure within the eye exceeding the normal range (above 16mmHg), which, if untreated, can lead to glaucoma and permanent vision damage.
The combination therapy alleviates symptoms such as eye pain, blurred vision, redness, and headache associated with elevated intraocular pressure.
