Mitsu AB™ is a mid-term absorbable, braided, synthetic surgical suture made of poly(glycolide-co-l-lactide) (90/10), coated with Triclosan, an antibacterial agent.
Designed to minimize the risk of surgical site infections by inhibiting colonization of pathogens.
Retains 75% knot tensile strength for up to 14 days, 50% for up to 21 days, and is completely absorbed between 56 to 70 days.
Complies with USP (United States Pharmacopeia) and EP (European Pharmacopoeia) standards for absorbable sutures.
Available in various suture sizes, both undyed and dyed violet, with standard stainless-steel needles.
Designed for general soft tissue approximation and ligation in suitable surgery types (other than ophthalmic).
