Meril FST (PGF609913i) is a synthetic, absorbable, braided suture made from Polyglactin 910 (a copolymer of 90% glycolide and 10% lactide).It is undyed, 11mm in length, 3/8 circle reverse cutting Elixir needle, and comes in a 45cm (6-0) format. The suture degrades by hydrolysis, assuring predictable and rapid absorption in tissue. It is indicated for superficial soft tissue approximation where short-term wound support (7–10 days) is needed, especially preferred for episiotomy and skin closure. Available only in an undyed version and designed to minimize tissue trauma and provide reliable wound support.
