Verifica M 50/500mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, exercise, and either vildagliptin or metformin alone are inadequate in controlling blood sugar levels.
The tablet contains a combination of Vildagliptin (50mg) and Metformin Hydrochloride (500mg).
It helps stimulate the pancreas to produce more insulin and less glucagon, and assists the body's effective use of insulin, thereby controlling the rise in blood sugar levels post meals.
This medicine can prevent serious diabetes complications such as loss of eyesight, kidney and nerve damage, foot ulcers, and delayed wound healing.
It is not for use in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
Not suitable for children under 18 years; use with caution if elderly or with heart, liver, or kidney problems.
Alcohol should be avoided during treatment, as it increases the risk of lactic acidosis.
