ZAVAMET 1000 Tablet is a prescription antidiabetic combination used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus when either metformin or vildagliptin alone, along with diet and exercise, does not provide adequate glycemic control.
This medicine contains Metformin (a biguanide) and Vildagliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor).
It aids in reducing blood sugar by enhancing insulin sensitivity, decreasing hepatic glucose production, and boosting insulin release while suppressing glucagon levels.
ZAVAMET 1000 mg is not for use in children under 18 and should be used with special caution in elderly patients and those with kidney, liver, or heart conditions.
