NOVASTAT GOLD is a combination medication used in the management and prevention of acute coronary syndromes, myocardial infarction, angina, and stroke.
It contains Aspirin, Clopidogrel, and Rosuvastatin, belonging to the drug classes Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), Antiplatelets, and HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins), respectively.
It improves cardiac function and reduces the risk of complications by inhibiting platelet aggregation, blocking cyclo-oxygenase action, and reducing cholesterol production.
Management should be accompanied by a healthy low-fat diet and avoidance of alcohol, as advised by the doctor.
Not recommended for severe liver, kidney, or heart disease, for pregnant/breastfeeding women, or for children under 18 years.
